Αναβάλλονται Οι Αυξήσεις Της Diamond

Χάρη στο comment του φίλου Zaroan στο post που αφορούσε στις αυξήσεις που ετοίμαζε η Diamond UK, ανακάλυψα ότι, τελικά, η Diamond αποσύρει, την τελευταία στιγμή, τις εν λόγω αυξήσεις και δε θα τεθούν σε ισχύ – τουλάχιστον όχι το Μάρτιο.

Με νέα επιστολή της, η Diamond UK ενημερώνει τα comic shops πως η ολίσθηση της λίρας έναντι του δολαρίου σταμάτησε και το αγγλικό νόμισμα κέρδισε έδαφος έναντι του αμερικανικού. Η εξέλιξη αυτή αναβάλλει τις αυξήσεις και η Diamond θα εξετάσει ξανά το θέμα τον Απρίλιο.

Price increases 30th March 2009. Update 27.03.09.

I am writing today to announce a postponement of the recently advised price increases. When the exchange rate dipped dramatically three weeks ago there was a need to look again at our prices. Since that time there has been a strengthening of the pound against the dollar so we are happy to postpone these price increases.

We will look at this issue again in April. As most of the products we sell are purchased in dollars our prices will inevitably track significant fluctuations in the pound/dollar exchange rate. Depending upon movements of the exchange rate over the coming weeks and months, we may be able to maintain the current prices or it may be necessary to implement the previously advised increases. If the latter is necessary an announcement will be made at the appropriate time.

Note that the April order form has gone to press using the increased prices. If no actual price increases are implemented before the goods in April Previews ship, you will be billed the current pre-increase prices. The April Previews and order form are due to ship the week commencing 30th March.
