Kyle Hotz: The Interview

Ο Kyle Hotz έχει γίνει γνωστός για το ιδιαίτερα πετυχημένο στιλ του στα horror comics και, παράλληλα, έχει αποδείξει ότι μπορεί να προσαρμοστεί σε κάθε σχεδιαστικό στιλ, χάρη σε δύο από τα πιο προσωπικά του projects, το MOSAIC και το BILLY THE KID’S OLD TIMEY ODDITIES (αμφότερα έχουν μεταφραστεί τα ελληνικά από την Jemma Press).

O Hotz βρέθηκε στο Comicdom Con Athens 2010, καλεσμένος της Jemma Press, και εντυπωσίασε πολλούς fans με την ευγένειά του, αλλά και τη χαρά του για την επίσκεψη (καθώς και, όπως ακούστηκε, πολλές κοπελίτσες με τη σωματική του διάπλαση…).

You are most known for your scary comics and your rather creepy style in art. What does it take to create something that noticeable in the horror genre?

Is there a formula for making scary comics?

You have also contributed in some superhero comics. Are there any differences in the approach between those two genres?

Do you prefer working for a major mainstream title or on a personal project like MOSAIC?
